Team News Update: Teams competing
for the "Fastest Team" trophy will have individual team member times equalized to the Olympic Distance Race with
the following race factors:
Half Sprint Times will be multiplied by a factor of 4.45. Sprint Times will
be multiplied by a factor of 2.3.
These factors were determined by an independent CPA analysis
of typical race speeds and transition times, taking into consideration the varied distances. Note, Club Teams cannot
include Half Sprint distance results for the fastest team competition. Please see additional rules below and good luck.
To set up your team, just
go to our registration page on Active.com, and pick the "Create a Team" button right on the top. Then have
all your team members choose your team from the drop down menu when they individually register. (Let us know
if a team member registered early and now wants to join your team for the competitions...No problem. Just shoot us an
email with their name and team name, and we'll add them in.) High school students just need to enter
the name of their school, and they'll be auto assigned. However, if a high school student wants to join in on a club or
corporate team, please have them choose that team from the drop down.
